Temptations and Tractor Tires

I can resist everything except temptation.

Now that the weather is warming up I have not been craving hearty big meals, what I really want is ICE CREAM! Not just any will do though, it must be Blue Bell.  I have a half gallon in the freezer and usually for my dessert I will have three thin mint girl scout cookies with a little ice cream, but I actually want to dump the whole box of cookies into the half gallon and eat directly from the carton...

So on to the healthy stuff.  This past weekend I went to the local co-op and got one of their trash tractor (for Free!!) tires to add a little extra to the home work out.

So here are a few things to do with a tractor tire if you decide to get one too.

1.  Flips
Squat down with your back straight, head up and butt down, grab the tire drive up and flip over.
2. Jump through
from the outside jump into the center of the tire then jump over to the other side.
3. Sit ups
Sit on the edge of the tire and brace your feet on the inside of the tire and do a regular sit up.
4. Jump Box
Jump up with both feet on to the tire and jump back down.

Have a great week!

Four steps to achievement:
                                                             Plan Purposefully.

When Money does not grow on trees...

This morning I woke up at the crack of dawn to make the 5:15 am spin class which was a great way to start the day, but I could not squeeze in any weights or abs, so that is defiantly on the agenda for Thursday  along with some cardio.

The bummer is that after taking a look at our family budget it was necessary to cut back on the trainer.  I am a little bit scarred that I will loose my progress without someone giving me (making me do) new, fresh, harder workouts. But I am going to try my best because I have come to long away to give up.  And I am hopeful that this blog will help me stay motivated to do my own research and come up with new exercise routines.  So when money does not grow on trees I head to the garage.

Workout Plan:

30 min -  6 weeks to a six pack video (Jillian Michael about $10 bucks)

4 sets of:

1 lap around neighborhood 1/2 mile
15 military presses
12 dumbbell pull overs
25 sit ups

After this I'll evaluate my calorie burn, if I have not made it to 400cals then I'll add in ab work with jump roping.

Happy hump day, hope the rest of your week is great!
